Elastic media for blast polishing equipment 'Lappin'
A comprehensive lineup of particle sizes that can handle everything from "rough polishing" to "finishing" with blast processing! Automatic polishing is also possible. *Demo machine available.
Lappin is a special polishing material developed independently by Sankyo Rika Kagaku for blast polishing equipment. It is an elastic medium coated with fine abrasive particles, capable of removing fine burrs and surface coatings without damaging the underlying material. In 2021, new particle sizes #220, #320, #400, and #600 were added to the existing range of #1500 to #10000, providing a comprehensive lineup that can handle everything from "rough polishing" to "finishing" in blast processing! Lappin is compatible with various materials. We have received inquiries from customers in industries we had not previously anticipated, leading to the adoption of Lappin and blast equipment. Lappin has been well-received for achieving time savings and efficiency in mold processing. Unlike conventional media that are only used for finishing, Lappin, which also supports "rough polishing," should provide excellent polishing power. Customization of equipment to match customer workpieces and support for automated systems are also possible, so please feel free to contact us. We also encourage you to read the "Case Studies for Solving Polishing Problems" in our catalog materials.
